Russia Announce Olympic Swim Team

On Sunday, the Russian Swimming Federation (RSF) announced that 30-swimmers qualified for Russia’s team to the 2016 Olympics at last week’s 2016 Russia Championships. Qualified for Russia’s team to the
2016 Olympics are:
  -females (11): Sofia Andreeva, Viktoriya Andreeva, Daria Chikunova, Svetlana Chimrova, Anastasiya Fesikova, Natalya Lovtsova, Daria Mullakaeva, Rozaliya Nasretdinova, Arina Openysheva, Veronika Popova and Daria Ustinova.
  -males (19): Vyacheslav Andrusenko, Anton Chupkov, Mikhail Dovgaluk, Andrey Grechin, Danila Izotov, Ilya Khomenko, Evgeny Koptelov, Alexander Krasnykh, Nikita Lobintsev, Vladimir Morozov, Aleksandr Popkov, Yaroslav Potapov, Kirill Prigoda, Evgeni Rilov, Aleksandr Sadovnikov, Andrey Shabasov, Aleksandr Sukhorukov, Grigoriy Tarasevich and Vsevolod Zanko.
In the announcement, RSF also has recommended that 4 additional swimmers, who did not swim Russia’s team qualifying time but did swim the Olympic A standard, be named to Russia’s Olympic team: Aleksei Brianskii, Ilya Druzhinin, Semen Makovich and Daniil Pakhomov.
Four additional swimmers also have been granted another chance to make the Russian team standards at the 2016 European Championship next month:
Natalia Ivaneeva, Aleksandr Osipenko, Nikolay Skvortsov and Andrey Zhilkin.
The announcement also states that if Yulia Efimova’s current anti-doping suspension is repealed in time, she will be automatically added to Russia’s Olympic team.
