2016 Olympic Relay Qualifying Update

The relay qualifying window for the 2016 Olympics closed last Tuesday (May 31), for the 4 unassigned spots in each relay event. Nations had from March 1, 2015 through May 31, 2016 to swim a relay qualifying time. This is for nations who finished outside of the
top-12 in each Olympic relay event at the 2015 World Championships; the
top-12 relays from the 2015 Worlds qualified for the 2016 Olympics as well.
National Olympic Committees have until this Friday (June 10) to confirm to FINA whether or not they will enter a relay at the 2016 Olympics.
FINA could therefor announce the qualified relays as early as this coming weekend.
